- According to the USDA, more than 21 million children are enrolled in the free-or reduced-lunch program, but only a little more than 2 million leverage the government supported summer feeding plan. What do the other millions of kids do when school is out?
- Even short periods of hunger can have long-lasting impacts on health and learning ability. By providing nutritious meals during long vacation periods, children return to school ready to learn.

For 20 years, our mission has been to help end child hunger – and every day, there are people in your community who are trying to help, too. This summer, the ConAgra Foods Foundation is giving nearly 30 grants to Feeding America food banks across the country through our Hunger-Free Summer program – all dedicated to connecting families with food and resources during summer, and beyond.

ConAgra Foods regularly donates to food banks across the country. Last year alone, we donated the equivalent of 1.8 million meals a month (based on Feeding America's conversion of 1.2 lbs. per meal) during Feeding America's fiscal year 2012. But the fight's not over. And we need your help.

Every time you enter an 8-digit product code at ChildHungerEndsHere.com, you also have the option to submit a zip code and give your local food bank a chance to receive the monetary equivalent of 80,000 meals from the total donations ConAgra Foods makes to Feeding America through the Child Hunger Ends Here program this year. If two million codes or more are entered, then the ten food banks nationwide with the most codes entered within their service area (based on zip codes) will each receive $10,000 (the equivalent of 80,000 meals) from ConAgra Foods to support the important work of feeding local children and their families.
